Message from Organising Chairman

Dear Friends,

Adult reconstruction has risen to the position of one of the largest subspecialty in Orthopaedics. Riding on the shoulders of its ever increasing popularity are the rising numbers of procedures, improved techniques and technological advancements. This also has the potential to lead to an increase in the absolute number of complications even when the incidence of complications is reducing. “Current Concepts in Arthroplasty 2022” will focus on ensuring safety in arthroplasty and discuss threadbare all the mitigating factors for complications, including safe anesthesia techniques, prevention of periprosthetic joint infections, rational choice of approach and implants, safe deployment of technology, and, modern rehabilitation protocols. Importance of good bone health to prevent complications following arthroplasty will also be highlighted. The deliberations have been scheduled for October 15-16th, 2022 at Jawaharlal Auditorium, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. This will be “physical-only” format and we expect good participation by the Indian and foreign faculty. We plan to have preconference workshops on 14th October, 2022. There will be in addition, the usual blend of live surgeries, didactic lectures, panel discussions and case presentations.
